Mary Mar Sales

Hi, I am Mary Mar Sales, a registered ECE. As a dedicated early childhood educator, I am passionate about fostering the development of young learners through meaningful interactions and play-based inquiry. I promote children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development by concentrating on establishing a secure, welcoming, and stimulating environment. Each child may grow at their own pace while gaining confidence and a love of learning, according to my instruction, which is based on curiosity, creativity, and respect. Building a supportive environment where each child feels seen, recognized, and celebrated is something I believe in, and I cherish solid ties with families. I genuinely respect open communication and cooperation with parents and caregivers, and I place a high importance on family partnerships. Together, we can foster your child’s growth in all facets of life, not just in the classroom.

I am so grateful to be part of the team at Noah’s Ark Childcare and Nursery as a Preschool Educator. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Farsi Literature and graduated from Seneca College with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education. I have over 20 years of teaching experience and have gained valuable experience working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children.

I believe every child is unique and can learn and grow at their own pace. I enjoy creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can explore, play, and develop their skills. Building strong, caring relationships with children, families, and colleagues is one of my greatest strengths.

Ms. Mahin has been in Noah’s Ark Childcare and Nursery since January 2023.

She is a passionate, caring, kind and patient infant educator.

She enjoys interacting, caring and developing a close bond with our children in the infant program.

She is always willing to go above and beyond to help each child grow and develop to their best!

Hi, I’m Nahed Yanes, the chef at Noah’s Ark daycare. Originally from Egypt, I earned my university diploma there before diving into education for over a decade, teaching elementary school. But my heart truly lies in early childhood education. Cooking is my passion, and I’m on a mission to cultivate a positive relationship with food for kids, creating a nurturing, healthy, and happy environment for their early learning journey. Alongside my teaching experience, I’ve also completed certifications related to cooking and early childcare education, including the YorkSafe Food Handler Certification, CCEYA certification, and CPR C – AED certificate.

Hello! My name is Natasha (ECA) in the infant room.

My whole life, I have always worked with children. I started off babysitting when I was 14 years old, to working as a substitute teacher in the YCDSB. I have experience in teaching JK, SK, grade 3, and grade 8 at 18. I then joined enforcement, working in Security, and helping and assisting York Regional Police at 20. Now, I have been truly blessed to be working at Noah’s Ark at 22. I am truly grateful and blessed to be helping your little ones, spreading joy, kindness, love, and positivity. Lily Wong

I am so blessed to be a part of team at Noah’s Ark Childcare and Nursery. I was born and raised in Hong Kong and moved to Canada in 2021. I speak two languages English and Cantonese. I graduated with my Diploma of Early Childhood Education awarded High Honours at Seneca Polytechnic in 2023.

I believe that every child can reach their fullest potential at their own pace. Hence, I aim to create a positive and inclusive environment to support children’s learning, development, and well-being. My teaching approach is child-led and play-based which promotes children’s exploration and creativity. My strength is building caring and responsive relationships with children, families and co-workers.

Vivian Dief

I have a history degree from the  University of Cairo, I graduated in 1994. I have been with Noah’s Ark since 2018.

I was a previous teacher at the YRDSB and have been since 2014. Before that I worked at a daycare in Cairo.

I love to provide an environment of learning, growth, love and kindness for the children!

Marjan Mofif-Alagha

Mrs. Marjan is an Early Childcare Assistant (ECA) with over 10 years of experience in the field of early childhood education and care. She has always had a passion for working with children and finds great joy in being able to teach and care for them. Mrs. Marjan loves the energy and enthusiasm that children bring to her work, and she finds it incredibly rewarding to watch them grow and develop under her guidance. A fun fact about Mrs. Marjan is that she loves to incorporate music and movement into her lessons, which makes her engaging and fun to be around for the children. She believes in the importance of providing enriching experiences for her students to help them reach their full potential. Overall, Mrs. Marjan is a caring and dedicated early childhood educator who is passionate about providing a nurturing environment where children can learn and thrive.

Rozita Pourkhalili

Hi my name is Rozita Pourkhalili, I have a bachelor’s degree in educational technology from Azad University, Iran. Throughout my years I have accumulated over 25 years of experience working mostly with children between the ages of two to eight years of age. My duties and responsibilities consist of tending to children’s needs and to prepare them for daily activities. My mission is to provide a safe and progressive environment in which children can develop and learn skills that will benefit them in the future. My goal is to see that enrolled children benefit from their time spent at Noah’s Ark Childcare and Nursery. Lastly, I believe that safety, having fun, and a healthy development is key towards the children’s long-term success. Thank you
